FBI Foreign Language Training Program Vacancy Announcement

The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Foreign Language Training Program will have an upcoming vacancy announcement on www.usajobs.gov for an Instructional Systems Specialist (ISS).
The ISS will serve as an expert in instructional technology, self-directed language education, and the development/evaluation of foreign language curricula, training tools and instructional materials. The ISS position does not require language teaching, but the ISS will coordinate foreign language classes offered to FBI employees, introduce language teaching tools to instructors, and evaluate courses of instruction for a variety of language schools and training conducted by the FBI.
Someone with an educational background in Instructional Design Practices, Instructional Product Development, Learning Theory, Psychology of Learning, or Computers in Education and Training would be an appropriate candidate.
Foreign language skill is not required, but anyone interested must have experience designing and evaluating English and/or foreign language training programs.
The position is a full time government position, with all attendant benefits, located in Washington D.C. (downtown). Relocation expenses will be paid, if required. The starting salary range is $74,872 - $89,033 (GS 12 to GS13) and will be based on your previous experience and educational level.

An exciting program for your students: The Department of State’s Title VIII program is offering support for the study of critical languages at Arizona State University and its study-abroad programs in summer 2012. Students from all graduate schools are eligible.
Fellowships cover travel, tuition, housing, and program expenses for graduate students in ASU’s 7-week Critical Languages Institute and its 4-week overseas programs.
